About Cora Sweater
Like the adult version, the Cora Junior Sweater knitting pattern features an oversize fit and raglan design. It is knitted top down with German short rows that raise the neck and shoulders for a perfect fit. The half fisherman’s rib design is super stretchy and creates a thicker fabric perfect for cold winter days.
Finished Measurements:
- Chest: 25.5 (27.5, 29, 31, 33.5) 35.5 inches
- Upper Arm: 10.25 (11, 11.5, 12, 12) 13 inches
- To choose your size, measure child’s chest and add 4-5 inches for an oversize fit. Then choose the closest finished bust circumference. It is best to follow the chest measurements instead of age.
Gauge
18 sts x 40 rows in half fisherman’s rib on US 6/4mm = 4 x 4 inches when knit in the round, washed, and blocked. Remember that every knit “V” stitch is 2 rows when counting.
